My name is Scott Trog, and I believe that owning your own home is undoubtedly one of the greatest American dreams. As a home inspector I love helping individuals and families achieve that goal by giving them an in-depth analysis of their new home. I started my career over 25 years ago doing new construction, remodeling, and repair. During that time, I specialized in decks, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, and finishing basement spaces.

I transitioned into the home inspection business to aid my customers in a different way by helping them guard their most valuable investments. I strongly believe that my extensive knowledge of construction gives me an advantage when it comes to inspecting homes. I am very detail-oriented and timely. I make sure to show up to your inspection on time and deliver a clear and concise report of my findings within 24 hours of our appointment. During your inspection, I strive to be attentive and to identify all concerns, as well as to help you understand them and whether a defect I discover during my home inspection is important or not.

My most desired compliment is a personal referral. I understand how busy homeowners, buyers, and real estate agents are, which is why I pride myself on having a schedule that is flexible and time sensitive. Although helping homeowners is my passion, I also love spending time outdoors and relaxing with family and friends. I am a part of CBMC, Christian Business Men’s Connection, and enjoy off roading adventures, fishing, and spending time out on the lake. I am also a member of the Missouri SAVE Coalition.

I am who you will talk to when you call the office. I am here to answer all your questions, schedule all your inspections, and make sure this process is as smooth as possible. My favorite aspect of this job is telling a client congrats as they have received that accepted offer and assuring them that we will make the inspection process worry-free. I also enjoying working with the Realtors to provide training and take the stress of scheduling inspections off their plate. Operating a family owned business is an amazing opportunity. I am a mom to 5 almost grown kids but still love spending anytime I can with them and love every moment I get on our horse farm.

I love what I do, strive to be the best, and learn as much as I can about my profession. Previously I worked at the carpenters union as a commercial floor layer for 13 years and learned everything possible about it. It was hard yet extremely rewarding work, but I wanted to try a new challenge.

I wanted to get into Real Estate and Home Inspections. My wife introduced me to Scott & Beth Trog of Home Plus, who hired and trained me. I learned all the ins and outs and what it takes to be a home inspector from Scott (who I could tell really knew his stuff).

That is where I am today. I like working with clients and Realtors, making sure they’re satisfied with my work and received the high-quality service that Home Plus Inspections promises.

In my free time I like spending time with my family, watching hockey (Let’s Go Blues), gaming, and exercising.

I am the newest member of the team and I’m excited to be with a growing company. After deciding to make a career change, I felt called to home inspections. I began pursuing the field by taking several training courses and completing the Inter-Nachi certification. After looking for an inspection company to begin my field training I was introduced to Scott through a mutual friend, and it has been a great experience. I look forward to learning all I can in the field and building relationships with realtors. I specialize in customer service and making sure the client feels confident in their report.
